The Kristinit label is named after the Latvian version of founder Kristina Lenss’ name and is based in Los Angeles.
Kristina studied costume design at the renowned Wimbledon School of Art in London and has an M.F.A. in Costume Design from UCLA. Working in various design arenas including theater, opera, film, commercials, ballet, and illustration, Kristina has designed and exhibited her award winning designs all over the world.
Founded in 2006, Kristinit was named Lucky Magazine's "One to Watch" designer and has been featured in Teen Vogue, OK Magazine, Style.com, Nylon, Agenda Magazine, and Apparel News. Celebrity clients include Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Deshanel, Bobbie Thomas, Finola Hughes, and Julia Anderson.
Inspired by nature, history and art, the label fills a niche for inspirational and sophisticated fashion for the elegant and eco conscious woman. A key tenet of Kristinit’s mission has always been to design with more than just style in mind: The line uses innovative organic fabrics, local manufacturing, and fair trade practices, and Kristinit continues to donate a percentage of each sale to One Percent for the Planet and the Pachamama Alliance.
